Today I will be discussing a few things which Agents should avoid in order to keep this life balanced and to make it successful.
Be Committed Not Interested:
Most of the people who get into real estate business are the people who have this as their third or fourth profession and after failing into different professions they come and say “let’s try Real Estate.”
And guess what they fail because they are just interested in this space but they are not committed to real estate.
Being in a Real Estate Market you should always be looking for opportunities and how you can grow your business no matter what time it takes. But it only comes with dedication and commitment.
Commitment is that you’re willing to do whatever it takes, no matter how many times you fail.
Be Strategic:
A lot of realtors are just doing real estate as their daily job! They sit in their office and keep the business running like other 80% of agents.
To be a good realtor and avoid failures you have to be strategic about your markets. You should know every single detail in your market. What house is up for listing, Condos are not selling, residential is selling, Double story aren’t selling but old bungalows are bought, repaired and flipped very quickly.
All of this detail makes you have a proactive approach toward the market and you are better than 90% of the realtors in your area.
Fearing Mistakes & Urge to Look Good:
It is understandable and in human nature that we are afraid of messing up or making mistakes. But all of the best realtors out there have made mistakes which took them to this level. If you ask them they will tell you how they messed up while following up, not listing a property in time, forgetting about a client and a lot other things as well.
But did it make them weak? No, they came stronger than ever, better than before because they learnt the lesson. Now this is important. Make as many mistakes as you can and learn a lesson from them.
It will not just help in future but will make you wise as well.
